Sports Massage

Massage Therapy designed around the demands of exercise, recreation, repetitive movement, and an active lifestyle.

Book an Appointment

Sports Massage is not only for athletes.

You do not need to compete in a sport to benefit from treatment that considers how your body moves.

Sports Massage can be adapted for recreational athletes, people returning to activity, individuals with physically demanding work, and anyone experiencing tension related to repetitive movement.

The treatment plan will depend on what you do, how often you do it, what you are currently experiencing, and what you would like to return to or maintain.

A flexible treatment approach

Sports Massage is not one specific technique. Depending on your goals, your therapist may incorporate:

  • Swedish Massage;

  • deeper focused pressure;

  • stretching;

  • movement-based techniques;

  • Trigger Point work; or

  • attention to areas affected by repetitive use.

Treatment before an activity may look different from treatment during a period of recovery or regular training.

What to expect

Your therapist may ask about your activities, training schedule, previous injuries, current symptoms, and movements that feel difficult or uncomfortable.

Together, you will decide which areas to prioritize and which techniques are appropriate for the appointment. Treatment will remain responsive to your comfort and feedback throughout the session.
